Meet Jillian
Jillian Adel (she/her) is a Los Angeles-based multidisciplinary artist, anarchist, and Resident Mystic of The Wu:um. She explores the intersection of the archetypal and the intimately personal through ritual as a means of creative liberation. Her work with death, nature, and the erotic facilitate integration of shadow for a more equitable collective.
As the In-House Esoteric Counselor at The Wu:um, she brings her practices of counseling astrology, tarot and ritual to the community. Her work blends ancient Hellenistic methods, Hermetic philosophy, depth psychology, art-making and psychomagick. Her embodied devotion to the decimation of oppressive structures defines her goal of assisting others in deconstructing their psyches from capitalistic programming and rebuilding a more equitable, non-hierarchical world in alignment with nature’s laws through individual self-sovereignty.
Although she has flowed through spiritual communities in Los Angeles for the better part of a decade and got her first Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck when she was 14, her esoteric studies began in earnest when she began learning the Western Mysteries and practicing ceremonial magic in 2023 at 22 Teachings, School of Hermetic Sciences. She is mentored by 22’s Head of Faculty and Master Tarot Reader, Naha Armády, and has also studied under: James Jude, Laetitia Barbier, Bel Senlle, Jeramie Bellamay, Dr. Mary Antonia Wood, and Richard Tarnas.
She is currently available for Astrology and Tarot Consultations, both one-on-one and on an event basis. She is on-site at The Wu:um every Thursday 12-7pm. Her monthly group ritual working, Death of the Moon, pursues revolution through ritual in alignment with the darkness of the new lunar cycle, and she leads a transit forecast and planetary practice group called Embodying Astrology on the first Thursday of each month.

Astrology Consultation
Astrology Consultations use your natal chart to interpret your archetypal blueprint. With this information, we can assess various areas of life in order to provide context, validation, and practical tools with which to embrace your strengths and remediate your challenges.
Initial consultations evaluate your 7 classical planets and their aspects. Follow-up readings have the option of going deeper into the natal promise, exploring the transpersonal planets and asteroids, examining timing and auspicious dates, or navigating specific questions and topics of interest.
Tarot Reading
Tarot readings provide clarity by way of divination through cards.
Tarot provides an energetic portrait that opens up a conversation with your spiritual guidance team and provides insight and actionable tools in areas of interest. The aim is to share clear and healing messages that will be most helpful to hear for you to align to your highest empowerment.
Thursday On-Site Readings
Astrology and tarot readings are available in-person at The Wu:um on Thursdays from 12-7pm. On this days, varying increments of readings are available. Appointments are available to book up to 7 days in advance of each week. Walk-ins welcome.
Pay-what-you-can readings may be available, depending on availability, for in-person walk-ins only. Inquire upon arrival.
All readings appropriate for all levels. Accessible to those with no previous knowledge and full of depth for even the most seasoned practitioners.

One-on-One Consultations
The Death of the Moon is a monthly ritual exploring the revolutionary nature of coming undone in alignment with the darkness of nature. The group explores astrological, archetypal and anti-capitalist philosophy as an entry point for rooting in the body and venturing into the lesser-worn hallways of self. Combining idea with meditative exploration, the aim is to crack the artifice of our daily shell and allow creative juice to flow to use throughout the duration of the lunation cycle.
Join us each month on the new moon at The Wu:um for a night of revolution through ritual.
The next event is Monday, July 13 at 7pm.
Join us for a round-up of the month ahead’s astrological transits. We will discuss the upcoming sky weather, learn how to work with your own birth chart, and gain tools and techniques to be in active participation with the planets. Part lecture and part interactive discussion, you will leave with a greater understanding of the month ahead as well as empowered with ways to functionally navigate, expanding preferable energy and remediating the less preferable.
This event is held every first Thursday of the month.
